Governance & contributions
ABCS is created and stewarded by Sirvisetti and developed in the open. Draft definitions are expected to improve through practical implementation and public contribution.
Business-only scope gate
Every proposed domain and capability must pass this test. Middleware, integration infrastructure, generic automation, transports, schedulers and vendor APIs are rejected from the canonical business model even when they are useful implementation technologies.
Domain maturity
- Reference — modeled in depth and used to demonstrate the full ABCS pattern.
- Modeled — canonical objects, schemas, keys/state/relationships and representative capability definitions are present.
- Initial — vocabulary/catalog only.
Maturity labels describe specification completeness, not adoption.
GREEN provenance policy
Canonical ABCS content must be original work or use clearly open sources whose terms permit the intended use. Proprietary or licensing-ambiguous frameworks are excluded from canonical source material.
Draft 0.2 records reviewed sources and their disposition in PROVENANCE.md. Open references are used selectively for semantic cross-checking rather than copied wholesale.
Representations
ABCS maintains one logical model. YAML 1.2 is the human-authoring representation for modular definitions, JSON is the preferred machine publication/interchange representation, and JSON Schema 2020-12 is the normative validation language. See FORMATS.md.
Compatibility discipline
Published identifiers retain their established business meaning. Compatible revisions may add optional information. Removing required information, changing canonical field meaning or changing defined business effects is breaking and requires explicit version treatment.
Positioning
ABCS is an open specification created and open-sourced by Sirvisetti. It should not be described as an industry standard or as widely adopted unless future evidence supports that claim.
License
Specification content is made available under Apache License 2.0. Sirvisetti and Autonomy brand assets are excluded from the specification license.
